Dear Miss Carttar:
Thank you. ever so much for your letter about Stuart Little. I am a bit late in answering it, but I can’t seem to keep up with my correspondence.
I am glad that you liked Stuart and that you thought the book was fantastic. I did not have any trouble writing it as I did not hurry. I think I finished it about twelve years after I started it. There is no use rushing.
I can’t send you a picture because I haven’t got one, but I am not much to look at. I am a man of medium height. I can ride a bicycle sitting backwards on the handlebars.
