Hobart shared his memories of the musicians that came to Winfield. In 1907, Frank Mossman, president of Southwestern College, asked his father to teach music at the college. His father left Morningside College in Sioux City, IA and taught at Southwestern College until1912. Hobart mentions the names of many skilled musicians that developed the rich history of music in Winfield.
