Florence shared memories of her high school years and her normal training to become a teacher. In this training, she learned how to teach in country schools that were grades 1-9. When this training was completed, you would receive a certificate which would allow you to teach for 2 years and could be renewed. Most women would not go to college after normal training, and many women would stop teaching once they married.
