Description

Mildred shared her memories of many families in Winfield. Her father was the sherrif, so she always knew the happenings about town. She recalls watching the folks come and go from Mrs. Spooner's Boarding House from the jail. Since the boarders were served meals, others from the commuity would go there to eat as well. The memories of the building of the Presbyterian Church in 1912 were also discussed. Mildred also shared that her husband passed away from cancer soon after his diagnosis.
