Dear Miss Crawford.
It was a delightful surprise to receive birthday greetings from you and the school children. Mr Wilder and I both thank you.
It is, of course, impossible for one to answer each letter separately. I have written to each grade in each school, who wrote one, instead.
I should have written you sooner about the photo. of my books you sent me. I think your display of them is quite an advertising stunt and I am sending it on to Harpers with your letter.
[page 2]
They may be able to use it. I am under obligation to you for your interest in my little books.
Please convey to your library staff Mr. Wilder's and my thanks for their good wishes.
Housecleaning time has caught me with the new book still unfinished, so I will be very busy in the days ahead, which is nothing new for I always have been busy.
With kindest regards and all good wishes
Sincerely your friend
Laura Ingalls Wilder
P.S.
Thanks for the clipping. It is fine.
